who we are
Built on Experience. Driven by Community. Inspired by Resilience.
At Konecke Construction, we know that great results come from a solid foundation—both in craftsmanship and in relationships. Our story begins with our founder, Sheila Konecke, whose career spans 36 years in engineering and 17 years in house flipping. Along the way, she earned five patents, mastered the art of managing complex projects, and built a vast network of contractors, specialists, and tradespeople she trusts.
Sheila’s path wasn’t just about building structures—it was about building opportunities. For nearly two decades, she balanced a full-time engineering role with the demands of house flipping and raising a family, gaining invaluable insight into every stage of a home’s transformation. When the COVID pandemic disrupted the construction industry, Sheila saw firsthand how many skilled professionals lost steady work. Determined to make a difference, she launched Konecke Construction—creating a place where expert builders could find consistent opportunities and homeowners could have their projects led by someone who understands both precision and people.
Today, we proudly serve Leesburg and the surrounding Virginia communities with a focus on quality, trust, and community connection. We believe in paying it forward—partnering with local businesses, supporting nonprofits, and giving back to the community that helped keep our industry alive. Whether you’re planning a renovation, a new build, or need guidance from a seasoned contractor, we’re here to bring your vision to life with expertise, care, and a commitment that runs deeper than the foundation we build on.
